Should I start reading Harry Potter even though...?

Question

Should I start reading Harry Potter even though...?
Im talking about the book series. Ive watched ALL the movies including HalfBlood Prince just finished watching it now actually and I really enjoyed them, except I heard online that the books go into better detail? The only problem is, Ive already watched all the movies so do you think it would be a waste of time to go all the way back to book number one?

Answer

No way would it be a waste of time. For once the internet was telling the truth, the books go into way more detailthere is no way you can condense pages down to less than a two hour movie without leaving out details, and whole characters and subplots. While the movies are good, the books are x better, Im not kidding you. READ THEM!brEver hear of SPEW?brDid you know Bill got turned into a werewolf? brDo you even know who Bill is?brWhat about Winky, ever hear of her?brDo you know how Barty Crouch Jr. escaped from Azkaban?brWhat really happened with Hagrid and the giants?brWhat ever happened to Harrys feelings for Cho?brHow did Ginny and Harry actually get together?brThe list goes on and on, read the books and youll have the answers to these questions and so many more.

Should i read the harry potter books first or watch the movies first?

Question

Should i read the harry potter books first or watch the movies first?
i want to finish the harry potter series... but i havent started yet, should i start with the books or the movies first?

Answer

I dont think it matters. I watched the movies first before I started reading the books. I didnt start reading the books until after I watched the HalfBlood Prince, and Im finally starting the HalfBlood Prince book. Probably wont get to the Deathly Hallows until next year, but I did enjoy both parts of the movie. brbrIt completely depends on you. If you dont think watching the movies will spoil the books and they wont because the movies leave out a lot subplots then you might want to read the books first. Maybe read one book and then watch that movie. Either way, I personally usually watch the movie first and then read the book if I liked the movie. There are many books Ive read simply because I liked the movie, The Ghost Writer by Robert Harris being the most recent.
