i want to finish the harry potter series... but i havent started yet, should i start with the books or the movies first?

I dont think it matters. I watched the movies first before I started reading the books. I didnt start reading the books until after I watched the HalfBlood Prince, and Im finally starting the HalfBlood Prince book. Probably wont get to the Deathly Hallows until next year, but I did enjoy both parts of the movie. brbrIt completely depends on you. If you dont think watching the movies will spoil the books and they wont because the movies leave out a lot subplots then you might want to read the books first. Maybe read one book and then watch that movie. Either way, I personally usually watch the movie first and then read the book if I liked the movie. There are many books Ive read simply because I liked the movie, The Ghost Writer by Robert Harris being the most recent.

No, your not alone. Things like twilight, jonas brothers, hannah montana, etc, are all fads that pre teens are into, mostly because the good things require some brain work to understand, something they obviously lack. so books like twilight are simple to read, and therefore much loved. after twilight itll be another dumb book, and after the jonas brothers another sappy band. maybe theyll grow out of it, and start reading books and listening to music to their own tastes, not what the current fad is.

Those books have made you too serious.brbrA story is a story. There is nothing wrong with reading a story because it is fun once in a while. Harry Potter gives the people something that they can commonly enjoy from age to as long as you can still read. The humor is something young kids can understand without referring to a textbook. The intrigue is simple enough as well. Adults dont have the time to read something complicated so they pick up a Harry Potter book and they arent bored in the short time they read it.brbrYou cant judge a book especially when all you read is Homer and Tolstoy.
